Adithyaa Sadashiv
9 Petals - The Studio is thrilled to feature the talented Indian artist Adithyaa Sadashiv. After completing his education in Visual Communication, Adithyaa pursued a career in art.
As a young artist, Adithyaa has been strongly influenced by his father, who has been teaching him the traditional Indian watercolor wash method, a rare and forgotten technique. Adithyaa’s art journey started with heritage objects and his first solo exhibition titled “Living in the Past” was in 2020. Adithyaa’s work shifted to a more abstract and spiritual concept after discovering the works of GR Santosh. Adithyaa held his second solo exhibition, "Shapes & Forms," at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru in 2022. His future plans include taking his Abstract series on a traveling exhibition across the country.
He draws inspiration from great personalities like J Krishnamurti and Ramana Maharshi, and the music of great Indian classical musicians. Music is also a significant influence in Adithyaa’s artwork, especially the works of renowned Indian classical musicians such as Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur, Pt. Kumar Gandharva, Ustad Amir Khan, and Ustad Vilayat Khan. Adithyaa published his first book, “A-Z Artist” in 2017, featuring 26 painters, sculptors, and muralists worldwide in alphabetical order. Adithyaa’s works are part of many private collections, and he has participated in various group exhibitions and workshops. He is currently working on a new series of paintings inspired by “Sound & Silence.”
