This very old sacred sculpture depicts the Shivalinga accompanied by Nandi and Vasuki, rendered in metal and bearing a rich, naturally aged patina that reflects its antiquity and devotional use. At the center is the Shivalinga, representing the eternal and formless aspect of Lord Shiva. Nandi, Shiva’s devoted attendant and vahana, is seated in reverence, symbolizing steadfast faith and spiritual discipline. Vasuki, the divine serpent, rises protectively around the linga, signifying cosmic energy, protection, and renewal.
The piece displays hand-cast craftsmanship with softened details, subtle irregularities, and surface wear consistent with age, all of which enhance its authenticity and spiritual character. Set upon a stepped base, the sculpture has a quiet yet powerful presence, suggesting it was once used as a personal shrine object or temple votive.
More than a decorative artifact, this is a rare devotional object imbued with history, symbolism, and sacred meaning, making it highly desirable for collectors of antiquities, practitioners of Shaivism, and admirers of ancient sacred art.
Please note that vintage pieces come with small imperfections, that's a part of its beauty and age.
