This impressive antique brass plaque presents an exceptionally detailed depiction of Lord Veerabhadra, the fierce warrior manifestation of Lord Shiva, captured in a powerful and dynamic pose. Handcrafted in solid brass using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, the piece dates to the 19th century and was sourced from Maharashtra, India.

The plaque displays remarkable craftsmanship, with finely rendered ornaments, weaponry, and expressive movement that reflect the skill of traditional temple metalworkers from the region. The surface carries a rich, naturally developed patina that enhances its age, character, and authenticity.

The reverse side features a ritual-style handle, suggesting the plaque was once used in temple worship or carried during ceremonial processions. Such functional devotional plaques are rarely encountered today, making this a particularly distinctive and collectible example of historic religious metalwork.

A rare and exceptional piece of traditional craftsmanship, this Veerabhadra plaque embodies both the spiritual power of the deity and the enduring artistry of Indian temple traditions.

Please note that vintage pieces come with small imperfections, that's a part of its beauty and age.
